Performance
You can appreciate the same elite engineering from behind the wheel of both vehicles. The entry-level powertrain is a turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder gas engine with mild hybrid technology. It yields 247 horsepower. Some trim levels are also available with a turbo four-cylinder, plug-in hybrid engine. This system offers a 35-mile all-electric range and 455 horsepower. The Polestar Engineered has upgraded mechanical features like adjustable Ohlins suspension dampers, a sport-tuned suspension, and Akebono brakes.
Appearance
The 2026 Volvo XC60 shows off a modernized grille larger than the 2025 version's. The new look includes an updated mesh pattern. The taillights in the 2026 XC60 are also upgraded with a darker tint. In addition, Mulberry Red, Aurora Silver, and Forest Lake are added to the paint palette, and several new wheel designs are available. Otherwise, the 2025 and 2026 XC60 have comparable styling. The design includes long, sweeping contouring across the sides, a raked rear, and a liftgate spoiler. Standard or available exterior features are a panoramic sunroof, a power liftgate, and 18-inch to 20-inch wheels.
Features
In 2025, the Volvo XC60 features a 9-inch infotainment system display screen. This grows to 11.2 inches in 2026. In addition, the infotainment system has an enhanced operating system and image quality. All of the other features offered in 2025 carry up to the 2026 model year without change. Some of these are heated and massaging front seats, a Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 15 speakers, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, a four-zone climate control system, Nappa leather upholstery, a surround-view camera, parking sensors, a cabin air purifier, lane centering, adaptive cruise control, and more.
