Performance
The 2026 XC60 Plug-In Hybrid is available with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged gas engine paired with an electric motor. This fuel-sipping powertrain gives you 455 horsepower and a 35-mile all-electric range. It comes with an eight-speed auto transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
The XC90 Plug-In Hybrid is comparably equipped with the same dual-motor setup, transmission, and drivetrain. However, its battery range is 32 miles.
Appearance
The XC60 Plug-In Hybrid displays Volvo's family design language, mated with an individualized personality. This model is styled with subtle angles across the profile and a solidly raked rear to expand cargo space. The sides are accented by a thick ledge running at an angle. At the front, the Thor’s hammer LED headlights and the triangular air inlets point inward. The almost rectangular grille displays the brand’s classic sash design.
The XC90 Plug-In Hybrid, on the other hand, has a taller and flatter hood that creates a decidedly boxy look. The sides are styled with lip-style wheel well definition and a linear ledge along the lower door panels. At the front, the grille’s shape is similar to the XC60’s, but it stands out with a woven mesh pattern. The headlights take a unique spin on the signature Thor’s hammer LED headlights with a secondary light bar.
Features
Three trim levels are available for the XC60 Plug-In Hybrid. Some of the features offered across these trim levels are a heated steering wheel, heated seats in both rows, a Bowers and Wilkins sound system with 15 speakers, massaging front seats, a head-up display, Nappa leather upholstery, an 11.2-inch infotainment system screen, an auto-dimming rear mirror, Apple CarPlay, and other features.
The XC90 Plug-In Hybrid has many similar features. It also comes with a wireless charging pad, a 12.3-inch driver’s gauge panel, a four-zone climate control system, a surround-view camera, second-row sunshades, and a few other features.
